Head out on this Half-Day Private Tour to Fatima, for guests with very limited time, that just want to see the main Sanctuary and it’s highlights. Fatima is the religious capital of Portugal, famous for its basilica that honors the appearance of Our Lady of Fatima (Virgin Mary) that appeared in 1917 to the three little children, located north of Lisbon (1h+ drive). Fatima is considered one of the major Catholic sanctuaries in the world, visited every year by more than 5 million people. On this HalfDay Private Tour, you’ll visit main Sanctuary Square, location of the shrine, which is twice the size of St Peters Square in the Vatican – it’s quite impressive! The old Basilica where the children of the visions (now canonized as Saints by Pope Francis in May 2017) are buried, and the new Most Holy Trinity Basilica, built in 2007 as the 4th biggest church in the world. Time for mass is not available on half-day tours, as time spent around Fatima is only approx 1h30m on half-day tours. To assist mass, please choose full-day tour instead.

Itinerary
The Half-Day Private Tour of Fatima Sanctuary will provide you a highlight visit to the main Sanctuary of Fatima, one of the most important Catholic Shrines in the world, for the morning or afternoon period. This tour has duration approx of 4h, but please note the drive to Fatima from Lisbon takes around 1h20m each way, allowing to spend approx 1h30 at the Sanctuary. If wish to spend more time, please book instead the full-day option. Although the itinerary can be adjusted during the day, this is the suggested itinerary:
- Pick-up available from your hotel in Lisbon, Airport, or at your cruise ship terminal while docking in Lisbon (flexible start time for cruise ship passengers)
- Drive towards Fatima Sanctuary (1h20m) for a morning visit, with highlights shown by our Private Guide
- Visit to the Chapel of the Apparitions, where Our Lady appeared to the three little children in 1917
- Visit the old Basilica of the Rosary of Fatima, and the tombs of the two most recent Saints, canonized by Pope Francis in May 2017 as the youngest Saints of the Catholic Church (Jacinta and Francisco)
- Admire the Most Holy Trinity Basilica, considered the 4th biggest Catholic Church in the world, built to host 10.000 people

In case you need to cancel/postpone any tours, for any reason, you just need to let us know up to 20 days in advance.
We can either reschedule the tour for any other date (no extra fee), within 5 years’ time.
Guarantee: no amounts will be lost in case of cancellation/postpone, as long as rescheduled for another period.

* This is a private tour and prepared for Half-Day (around 4h), although, if you have shorter time, we can fit it to your needs
* Most of our tours are done using minivans for your comfort (more leg room). For larger groups we have available larger buses/motor coaches. Vehicle type, size, brand or color can never be guaranteed on our regular tours.
* Single travelers are accepted on all our private tours, paying two adult tickets.
